The Regional Environmental and Spatial Planning Committee of the Peloponnese Region has issued a positive opinion on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the project “Flood Protection for Tripoli (Zevgolateio – Neochori Area),” during its recent session.

This decision paves the way for the implementation of a critical intervention, with a total budget of €9.9 million, funded through the “Peloponnese” Operational Program.

This is a project of utmost importance for the safety of the area, which is officially designated as a flood risk zone and has repeatedly suffered from severe weather events in recent years.

The planned interventions are expected to play a crucial role in addressing the impacts of the climate crisis, safeguarding human lives, property, and critical infrastructure.
