In particular, the lighting upgrade works were carried out on the Athens Avenue Bridge at its junction with Kifisos Avenue and on the Ieras Odos, Lenorman, P. Ralli Bridges, on the Bridge located at the junction of Kifisos Avenue with Dyrrachion, on the Bridge located at the junction of Constantinople with Athens Avenue and at the Schistos-Skaramangas Bridge.
The specific interventions were deemed necessary as, according to relevant traffic and safety reports, delinquent behavior, accumulation of waste, and occupation of the space under the Bridges have been repeatedly observed.
The crews of the Attica Region, with a coordinated effort, completely cleaned the areas under the Bridges, removed the posters, where they were and painted the columns. At the same time, they were sufficiently lit with LED lighting systems, which ensure less energy consumption.
The projects were designed and implemented by the Directorate of Metropolitan Infrastructure Management of the Attica Region, with the aim of beautifying the public spaces formed under the technical part of the bridges and keeping them in good condition. The new lighting of the bridges also acts as a deterrent against criminal behavior that has been found at the specific points.
