Replacement works will be conducted on the final joint of the Axios River Bridge and all joints of the Vardarovasi Bridge, in the direction toward Chalkidoni, with one lane closed at a time across both lanes.
An agreement has been established with the Chalkidoni Traffic Department to implement the necessary traffic management measures, ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow during the works.
Furthermore, the Technical Works Directorate of the Region of Central Macedonia will carry out the restoration of metal safety barriers along the Thessaloniki - N. Moudania national road from Wednesday, December 18, to Thursday, December 19. The works will take place from 7:30 AM until sunset, depending on weather conditions, on the right shoulder of the road at the following locations: junction 9+600 towards Thessaloniki, 8+900 towards Thessaloniki, C.T. 16+300 towards Thessaloniki, and C.T. 18+500 (entrance branch from N. Ryssio) toward Nea Moudania.
The repairs will be executed by mobile crews in the right-hand lane, with temporary lane closures in sections. The closures will be brief and adjusted according to the progress of the work.
The Thessaloniki Traffic Police Sub-Directorate and Thermi Traffic Police Department will oversee the implementation of the required traffic regulations to ensure the safe and smooth flow of traffic throughout the duration of the works.
