The first important and essential step for the creation of a strong bank that will be active in all banking operations in Greece is completed by Pancreatia Bank on July 28 with the complete absorption of HSBC's operations in Greece.

This is followed by the completion of the merger within the year with the Bank of Central Macedonia and the implementation of the agreement with Attica Bank for the possibility of a merger between them.

In particular, as the managing director of Pancreatia Bank, Antonis Bartholomeos, and the bank's management team stated, in a meeting with journalists, on July 28, the 15 branches of HSBC in Greece and its banking operations will be absorbed by Pancreatia following the relevant agreement of March 2022 for the transfer of HSBC's activities in Greece.

In more detail, as pointed out, the 15 branches of the banking giant HSBC in Greece - which completes a successful presence in our country for more than four decades - during the last weekend of July acquire the colors and brand of Pankritia Bank, while at the same time the whole of its operations is absorbed and HSBC employees join its workforce, which will now exceed 900 people.

In this way, it is estimated that the bank is strengthened, among other things, with an additional at least 1.4 billion deposits, a new strong customer base. At the same time, it strengthens its funds quantitatively and qualitatively, as the acquisition of HSBC's asset reflects a net asset value of 95 million euros ( net asset value). In addition, it is dynamically entering new areas of banking operations that either had no presence at all or had a very small market share, such as corporate banking, the shipping sector and the wealth management sector. Among other things, Pankritia's planning has included its further dynamic expansion in the field of bancassurance, its dynamic presence in digital networks with the bank's new modern e-banking already in operation. As well as actively supporting the development initiatives of small and medium enterprises, freelancers and private customers
