With the completion of the project, financed by the Public Investment Program, the aesthetic upgrade of the entire coastal area will be achieved, through the creation of a pedestrian route that will connect the private parking area (road to the Monastery of Zygos) with one of the most important attractions of settlement, the Offertory Tower.
Important objectives of this project are:
- ensuring accessibility for everyone along the beach front, by widening the existing sidewalks, building ramps for PWDs. and guidance strips for the visually impaired,
- the settlement of the problem of disorderly parking observed today
- the aesthetic upgrade of the study area through elegant paving and curbing.
The project naturally includes the reconstruction and new asphalt paving of the coastal road with pedestrian crossings, construction of flower beds and their delimitation with a prefabricated concrete curb, installation of seating areas, pergola, new lighting masts and many more details of municipal equipment, which serve the functionality, but also the aesthetics of the project.
