According to the company, this initiative responds to a growing social need, as incidents of domestic violence are recording a worrying increase in our country.
This new space has been designed with a focus on safety, privacy, and dignified care for victims — primarily women and children — who are under threat or have experienced abuse.
DKG Development undertook the full design, logistical support, and equipment of the facility, as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives carried out consistently in recent years.
“Social responsibility is not simply an obligation for us — it is an integral part of our identity. Supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening social cohesion are top priorities,” stated Konstantinos Petridis, President and CEO of DKG Development, during the official handover of the space.
The facility will operate under the supervision of the Piraeus Police Department and with the continuous presence of specialized professionals from the partnering volunteer organization, ensuring immediate intervention, protection, and psychosocial support for victims.
