The new project becomes part of the brand’s curated collection of independent hotels that emphasise authenticity and high-level guest experiences. The agreement comes at a time of significant growth for LXR Hotels & Resorts, which is approaching forty properties either in operation or under development worldwide. Following the impressive launch of SAX Paris and with new European additions on the horizon, the brand continues to strengthen its presence in leading international destinations.
Built on the picturesque rocky slopes of southeastern Santorini, Sandblu offers panoramic views of the Aegean and is located just minutes from the iconic black-sand beach of Kamari. Inspired by traditional Cycladic architecture, the resort’s 66 rooms and suites blend Cycladic white with stone and contemporary materials that highlight the volcanic character of the landscape.
Each room features a private terrace overlooking the pool or the sea, while approximately one-third of the accommodations also include a private pool. For guests seeking greater seclusion, three refined villas complete the hospitality offering. The resort places particular emphasis on wellness, with two infinity pools, a spa with sauna and indoor pool, as well as a two-level fitness centre and yoga space. At the beach, an exclusive area with sun loungers and umbrellas provides comfort and tranquillity by the sea.
Gastronomy is a central pillar of Sandblu. With the signature of the Rockwell Group, the restaurant presents a creative approach to Mediterranean cuisine, while the all-day venue and elegant wine bar showcase Santorini’s renowned wines. For families, the Kids Club offers creative activities, and a selection of high-end boutiques enhances the resort’s lifestyle profile.
Feisal Jaffer, Global Head of LXR Hotels & Resorts, stated: “Sandblu captures the ethereal spirit of Santorini in a discreet and refined manner. We are proud to introduce a new level of craftsmanship and design to the island, offering authenticity and a deep connection with the environment.”
Leonidas Anagnostou, General Manager of Sandblu (RMKA Private Company), said: “Our collaboration with Hilton for the first LXR property in Greece is a great honour. Our aim is a resort that reflects the authentic soul of Santorini, with high-aesthetic experiences and attentive service. We look forward to completing the transformation and welcoming guests again in the summer of 2026."
