Six investment schemes bid for Lavrio Port

Six investment schemes out of the eight that expressed interest meet the tender's criteria and continue in the second phase of the competition for the exploitation of the Lavrio Port Organization.

The investment schemes are the following,

• GEK TERNA S.A.

• INTERKAT S.A.

• Joint venture JET PLAN SHIPPING Co LTD – ACTOR CONCESSIONS S.A.

• Joint venture GPH CRUISE PORT FINANCE LTD – PROMARINE S.A.

• Consortium OLYMPIC MARINE S.A. – MSC CRUISES S.A.

• ISRAEL SHIPYARDS INDUSTRIES LTD


GULFTAINER COMPANY LTD and IOTC INVESTMENTS S.C.S. are not continuing in the competition.

The pre-selected investment schemes, after signing the relevant Confidentiality Agreements, will receive the issues of Phase 2 of the competition and will gain access to the virtual documentation room (Virtual Data Room), where data and other information about the asset will be posted.

The company "Lavrio Port Authority A.E." (ALL S.A.) has the exclusive right to use and exploit the grounds, buildings and facilities of the Port of Lavrio, which is the third largest port in Attica, through a Concession Agreement it has concluded with the Greek State for a period of 60 years from the start of its validity (valid until the year 2062).

At the port there is a Passenger Station with an area of ​​2,700 sq.m. where there are the infrastructures of the necessary controls (passport, police, customs) dictated by the adaptation to the ISPS Code and the Schengen treaty.

Near the Passenger Station there is a car park, an private use car rental area, ticket offices and passenger and visitor services.

In the Port of Lavrio there is also an independent Fishing Shelter and a "marina" for leisure boats, with a capacity of 200 seats, with the possibility of increasing to 400, with the construction of floating buoys.
