Space Hellas has signed a new contract with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the project “Maintenance and Technical Support of the N-VIS Information System and Its Subsystems.”

The contract concerns the provision of specialized maintenance services, technical support, upgrades, as well as the supply of equipment and software, aiming to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the National Visa Information System (N-VIS), both centrally at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at a minimum of 104 Diplomatic and Consular Missions abroad.

The contract duration extends until December 31, 2029, with a total value of €7,397,783.90 (including VAT), and includes an option clause amounting to €7,400,000.00 (including VAT) to cover future needs and system expansions.

The project encompasses the full fulfillment of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, ensuring the operation of N-VIS across all involved points, both within the Ministry’s central infrastructure and in the remote consular and diplomatic missions. It also provides technical support and maintenance for the existing information system and its subsystems, VIS-MAIL and Online Application.

Within the scope of the project, the supply of new equipment and software—including related licenses—is planned, along with the provision of additional upgrade and support services, should these be deemed necessary by the contracting authority. This is in line with the revision of European Regulations (EU) 810/2009 and 767/2008 and the interoperability requirements of the national VIS system with new national and European information systems.

Furthermore, the project includes system adaptation services aimed at improving the usability of the VIS application according to the directives of the responsible departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as actions to ensure interoperability with other national information systems.

The provision of training services to Directorate ST2 (Organization, Telecommunications & IT) of the Ministry is also foreseen, as well as the briefing of the Contractor on the current status and the handover of the existing system and its subsystems.

With 40 years of presence in the Greek ICT market and extensive experience in the development and support of critical public sector information systems, Space Hellas strengthens its strategic positioning in high-technology and nationally significant projects.
