OSE declares tender to digitally transform its system

The project budget amounts to 36 million euros (excluding VAT) and aims at the digital modernization of the OSE.

OSE Board of Directors, under the chairmanship of Mr. Giannos Grammatidis, approved the tender for the assignment of the project "Installation, configuration, management and guarantee of good operation of an integrated information system for the Digital Transformation of the OSE".

The project budget amounts to 36 million euros (excluding VAT) and aims at the digital modernization of the OSE, according to the Digital Transformation Bible 2020-2025, in full alignment with the EU priorities for modern and competitive railway networks.

The project seeks to modernize OSE's infrastructure, strengthen internal organization and reduce operating costs, while providing improved services to passengers through the adoption of new technologies and modern information systems.

Key components of OSE's digital transformation include:

Ticket management system: with the aim of at least 60% of passengers using electronic tickets and the interface with existing Fare Collection Systems.

Smart station infrastructures: include Station Management Centers (MSCs) in selected stations and equipment both in stations and stops and in rolling stock.

Central systems, such as:

 Integrated Telematics and Passenger Information Information System,

 Integrated Information System for Digital Service and Management of Passenger Requests and Complaints, as well as mobile applications, Central Management Software,

 Interconnection of central systems with existing infrastructures of external agencies.

Studies and services that include the preparation of studies, installation, training and education, pilot and test operation, project management, as well as a two-year guarantee of good operation of the systems after the final acceptance of the project.

The CEO of OSE, Mr. Panagiotis Terezakis, said: "The start of this major project marks a new era for OSE, especially in view of the corporate transformation, which aims to modernize the railway operation for the benefit of the economy and society."
