HPPC's tender to appoint a project management office for its real estate portfoli utilisation has been completed. McKinsey undertook the coordination of the mapping, evaluation and valuation of 36,000 properties project.

It is expected that 6,000 properties will be valued, while in the end up to 1,000 of them will enter an immediate maturation and utilization plan. For the properties, studies will be done in order to group them and possibly different companies will be created in which the public may participate with a minority package. The above was mentioned by the Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis speaking at the Prodexpo conference.

Social compensation programs

At the same time, the minister also referred to the social compensation programs in idle state properties which, apart from the case of Chropei (EOF property) which will now be transformed from an Innovation Center (Innovation State) into a large social housing project and the DYPA properties throughout the Greece, the Anatolia factory in Nea Ionia also enters the frame

The relevant tenders are expected at the beginning of the new year and concern a contract between public bodies and private contractors, in which the contractor constructs, at his own expense, the building of the residences and in return is given the possibility of exploitation for a certain period of time period of the property with the parallel obligation to rent part of it to beneficiaries against a predetermined rent. The property then returns to the original owner.

The 365,853 registered in the Real Estate Registry

It is recalled that in the summer the ministry proceeded to hire a technical consultant who would undertake to carry out a technical and legal audit of the first group of properties from the over 350,000 properties belonging to public bodies and registered by the Ministry of Finance and the ETAD in the Real Estate Registry (M .A.P.)

These are 447 properties which were identified after analysis, with specific criteria and which are scheduled to be used according to the ministry for the purposes of implementing housing policy

The M.A.P. is an application that is part of the "Digital Services of Public Property and National Endowments " and is used by Public entities to register all their real estate.
