The Ministry of Tourism proceeded to seal part of the Cocomat Athens BC Hotel premises in execution of order no. 15/2023 of the minutes of the Three-member Compliance Council of the Council of State.

It should be noted that in August 2023, the Ministry of Tourism issued a decision to close the entire "COCO-MAT Athens BC" hotel, but the company appealed to the Administrative Court of First Instance of Athens which decided to suspend the sealing.

The Administrative Court of Appeal of Athens, before which the relevant cases were referred due to jurisdiction, revoked the temporary orders that had previously been issued and had suspended all action, and finally ordered the sealing of the part of the hotel that had been declared arbitrary. That is, the section that exceeds 24 meters in height. On Thursday 21.03.2024, the competent services of the Ministry of Tourism attempted to partially seal the hotel - which belongs to Blé Kedros REIC- but this was not possible, because the specific area had not been evacuated, despite the previous timely notification to the manager of the hotel business.

The Attica Regional Tourism Service (RTS) addressed, as provided by the relevant legislation, to the competent Prosecutor of Athens for his further legal actions. Following this intervention, the company informed the services of the Ministry that it proceeded on 27.03.2024 to evacuate the sealed part of the hotel. On 29..3.2024 the P.Y.T Attica sealed the disputed part of the tourist accommodation.
