The platform’s expansion and its new features aim to serve citizens without delays, transforming the submission and filing of contracts into a process completed within one business day.
Since the pilot operation of the Digital Property File began, 1,838 property transactions have been completed, with an average processing time of just one business day, provided there are no prior pending issues. Even in more complex cases involving pending matters from properties registered under the now-defunct mortgage offices, the average completion time remains impressively low at four business days.
The platform akinita.gov.gr simplifies the contract submission process by interoperating with key public sector information systems.

Notaries initiate the property transfer file electronically via akinita.gov.gr.
Involved citizens receive notifications and provide authorization through TaxisNet
The platform automatically retrieves all necessary documentation through connections with the systems of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), EFKA (Social Security Fund), the Hellenic Cadastre, and the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE).
Transfer taxes and related fees are paid digitally via card, e-banking, etc.
The transaction is submitted electronically to the Cadastre and recorded within 24 hours, provided there are no outstanding issues.
