The construction of this important project had been pending since the end of the 70s. The Attica region has contributed the delivery by comprising the project in the funding available from the PEP Attica 2014 - 2020 that exceeded €7 million.
In particular, the completion of the "Ioannis Despotopoulos" amphitheater with a capacity of 600 seats was carried out together with the auxiliary spaces, while at the same time the K3 Technology Center, the Arts Foyer, the New Stage, the Restaurant - multi-purpose spaces that allow the Athens Conservatory to perform in intact its mission as a cell of arts, education, innovation, creativity and social expression, both for those active in these fields, as well as for the thousands of Greek and foreign visitors who will enjoy high-quality performances and activities.
At the same time, the Region of Attica, as Mr. Patoulis mentioned in his speech, also approved the additional funding of the project, amounting to €790,000, with the aim of digitizing and archiving the valuable Historical Archives of the Conservatory.
