The Municipal Stadium of Serres, after inspections, was deemed partially problematic for the conduct of sports activities, while it is also the home of the football team of Panserraikos.
The Region of Central Macedonia has sent an invitation to interested parties to submit their proposals in order for the stadium to be restored, while the submission of proposals begins today and will be completed on August 30. The budget of the project is 1,737,200 euros.
As part of the project, work will be carried out to restore and strengthen the stands of the northern horseshoe, as well as supply and install new turf and fencing.
In his statements, the District Governor pointed out that the goal is to turn the Municipal Stadium of Serres into a completely safe place for sports activities, both for competitors and spectators.
At the same time, with the completion of the restoration work and improvement of the sports and attendance conditions, the Municipal Stadium of Serres will become a modern sports venue, which will also meet the specifications for Super League football matches, where Panserraikos competes.
