The next phase of the tender process for the long-term development of "Vouliagmeni Beach" will take place in the coming weeks.

HPPC is reportedly in the process of legal and technical review of the expressions of interest, in order to announce the schemes that will move on to the second phase of submitting binding offers.

The lease of "Akti Vouliagmeni" is claimed by seven schemes that submitted a file in the first phase of HPPC 's tender, which was completed about a month ago.

Specifically, the following companies / investment schemes expressed their interest:

  • AIR CANTEEN S.A.
  • ATHENS BEACH CLUB (It has undertaken the management of Akti B’ Voula of TEMES, Prokopiou, Kokkali)
  • MONTEKAVO REAL ESTATE S.A.

The interested investor who will be selected as the contractor will be asked to make a strategic investment to upgrade the quality of services and, more broadly, the facilities of “Akti Vouliagmeni”, operating positively towards regular visitors. Meanwhile, the modernization of infrastructure and services will attract young people, families and children, as well as sports and water sports enthusiasts. At the same time, the exploitation and utilization of the emblematic former restaurant "Okeanis", which is currently not operating, makes it possible to provide a new upgraded dining and hospitality experience, accessible to the Athenian public.

It is noted that the long-term lease agreement of "Vouliagmeni Beach" concerns the beach and its facilities as they are and are located (as is, where is) for 20 years with the right to extend for an additional 10 years, with the aim of operating as an organized bathing facility that will operate all year round.

The objective of HPPC is the further substantial and qualitative exploitation of the property, by developing activities that will upgrade it and make it a pole of exemplary "green" and sustainable tourist development, of international scope, taking into account the unique characteristics of the property and the wider area.
