This month was approved the inclusion of part of the Athenian Riviera project "Urban Walk Cycling Infrastructure" in the Recovery and Resilience Fund.

The project refers to the part of the coastline of the Athenian Riviera from the Municipality of Kallithea to the City Hall of the Municipality of Vari - Voula - Vouliagmeni, crossing six municipalities (Kallithea, P. Faliro, Alimos, Ellinikou-Argyroupoli, Glyfada, Vari - Voula - Vouliagmeni ) where a single network with a bicycle path and a pedestrian path is to be created.

It is estimated that the project will cover about 13.5 kilometers of the total length of 70 km, which stretches from the port of Piraeus to Cape Souni.

The public expenditure of the project proposed for registration in the Public Investment Program amounts to €24,713,200, while the current year's appropriations amount to €271,560.

The Region of Attica was designated as the implementing body for the project, and according to the plan, the work should be completed by December 31, 2025.
