THRAKON has completed the construction of a new, fully autonomous production line for fine-grained products at its facilities in Chalkidona.

The new production line, which has been fully operational for several months, leverages cutting-edge technologies and is designed to significantly enhance product quality while simultaneously increasing the group’s overall production capacity.

As part of its strategic plan for 2025, THRAKON is proceeding with investments totaling €2.5 million, focusing on three main pillars: strengthening its international presence, advancing digital transformation, and expanding its infrastructure. On an international level, the group is enhancing its activities in Europe and the Middle East by establishing a sales department in Saudi Arabia, aiming to reinforce its presence in this strategically important market.

Concurrently, THRAKON is investing in the adoption of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS), further advancing the digital transformation of its supply chain. Through advanced automation, the company ensures real-time inventory tracking, optimal utilization of storage space via guided product placement, faster and more efficient order fulfillment, and an overall upgrade of the customer experience.

Following continuous turnover growth, the group is expanding its storage facilities by 3,000 square meters in Oinofyta, Chalkidona, and Orestiada. This expansion provides greater flexibility, the capacity to manage a higher number of SKUs, and improved customer service by reducing the risk of stock shortages. Similarly, at the YTONG production plant, an investment is underway to increase production capacity by 20%, alongside modifications to the packaging line aimed at creating more palletization options to meet the diverse needs of the market.

With a steadfast commitment to sustainable development, THRAKON has already implemented specific initiatives to reduce its environmental footprint. The company’s goal is to decrease carbon dioxide emissions by 30% by 2030, thereby actively contributing to the transition towards a greener and more sustainable construction materials industry.
