Overall Material Costs Index in the Construction of New Residential Buildings up 6,4% in September

The average Index for the twelve-month period from October 2022 to September 2023 recorded an increase of 9.1%.

The Overall Material Costs Index in the Construction (CSTM) of New Residential Buildings with base year 2015=100.0 in September 2023 recorded an increase of 6.4% in comparison with September 2022. The corresponding index in September 2022 had recorded an increase of 12.4% compared with September 2021.

According to ELSTAT, the Overall Index in September 2023, compared with the corresponding index in August 2023, recorded an increase of 0.4%. The index had recorded an increase of 0.9% between September 2022 and August 2022. 

The average Index for the twelve-month period from October 2022 to September 2023, compared with the corresponding index for the twelve-month period from October 2021 to September 2022, recorded an increase of 9.1%. 

The comparison of the average Material Costs Index in the corresponding previous twelve-month periods had shown an increase of 9.8%.
