Two new express bus routes will be launched in Thessaloniki form November, 1st

Effective from November 1, 2023, the routes of two new and supportive express bus lines of urban transport will be launched in Thessaloniki, with the aim of relieving commuting citizens from limiting any impacts from the construction of the Flyover in the city.

As the Thessaloniki Transport Project Organization (OSETH) states in a relevant announcement, the supporting express bus lines will be operated by KTEL Thessaloniki SA. and during peak hours (7:00-17:00).

Specifically, from 1/11, the route of the new route begins in the operating schedule of line No. 43 "Local Evosmou" with the name No. 43Y "Kato Ilioupoli - Voulgari". As OSETH clarifies, this bus line will connect Kato Ilioupoli Terminal in Evosmos with "Voulgari" Terminal via Karaoli Dimitriou, Lagada, Ag. Dimitriou, Ethn. Amynis, Egnatia & Kon. Karamanli in the transition and with minor variations through the streets of 3rd September, Olympiados, Kassandros, Ag. Dimitrios on the way back.

In addition, from next Wednesday, the route of the new route in the operating schedule of line No. 45 "K.T.E.L. Macedonia - K.T.E.L. Halkidiki - Cosmos" with the name No 45Y "T.S. KTEL Macedonia - A.S. IKEA". This bus line will connect the "KTEL Makedonia" Terminal with the East IKEA Station via Giannitsa, 26th of October, Egnatia, I. Dragoumis, Mitropoleos, Mag. Alexandros Adrianoupoleos, Agricultural School (in transit) streets and through Vas streets Olgas, Tsimiski, Giannitsson (on the way back).

For the lines, approximately 16 buses will be used that the KTEL of Thessaloniki secured from OASTH, with the cooperation of the leasing contractor, as OSETH points out.
