The Ministry of Development is advancing the creation of a National Elevator Registration Registry aimed at documenting all elevators across the country.

The inventory registration will require completion of seven mandatory fields, which are generally known to the obligated parties submitting the declaration. This data will assist the Ministry’s competent services in statistical processing:

Installation address and location — including the Property Unique Identifier Code (KAEK). Where available, the system will auto-populate this data through interoperability; otherwise, manual input will be required.

Number of elevators in the building

Year of elevator installation

Number of stops served by the elevator

Whether the elevator bears the CE mark

Details of active or previous certification, including the date of certification

Information about the owner/manager or maintenance technician/installer, obtained through the identification process

Based on the data collected, a schedule will be established for the subsequent steps necessary to ensure the modernization and upgrading of elevators deemed in need of certification to guarantee their safe operation.

Users will access the platform using their gov/taxis credentials. The registration process is designed to be completed in a matter of minutes. According to the Ministry, all possible measures have been taken to ensure a user-friendly experience to facilitate citizen compliance.
