Visitors in Greek museums and archaeological sites skyrocket in July 2022

An increase of 54.4% was recorded at the number of visitors in archaeological sites.

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announced the results of the Survey on Museums and Archaeological Sites Attendance for July 2022.

According to ELSTAT's official press release, during July 2022 -vs the corresponding month of 2021- museums recorded a 70.4% increase in the number of visitors and a 50.4% increase in the number of free admission visitors, as well as an 80.2% increase in their receipts.

In archaeological sites, in July 2022 compared with the corresponding month of 2021, an increase of 54.4% was recorded at the number of visitors, of 31.9% in the number of free admission visitors and of 70.7% in the corresponding receipts.
