In particular, the committee decided unanimously that the changes in the composition of the contestants of all the Bidders still meet all the terms and conditions of the Call for Expressions of Interest Phase 1 of the Competition and that all schemes can continue to the next stage of the unsealing and evaluation of Tenders A, B and C.

The Chania - Heraklion section of the VOAK, 157.5 km long and with a budget of €1.5 billion. is the largest of the three sections of the Northern Road Axis of Crete which will be done with a concession contract.
The second section Hersonissos-Neapolis with a budget of €360 million is implemented through PPP by the consortium GEK TERNA, AKTOR and Intrakat and the third section Neapolis-Agios Nikolaos with a budget of 169 million is being built as a public project by AKTOR.
