The entities involved in the project include GEK TERNA, AKTOR Concessions-Intrakat, AVAX, METKA (Metlen), and ATESE, while the EKTER-TENA-ERETVO consortium has been excluded. The initiative aims to provide comprehensive student accommodation services and encompasses the construction of student dormitories with a total capacity of 750 beds, to be distributed across Florina, Kastoria, Ptolemaida, and Kozani, along with student dining facilities.
Of the 750 student dormitory units allocated for the University of Western Macedonia, 350 will be situated on the Kozani campus, 150 in Florina, 150 in Kastoria, and 100 in Ptolemaida.
The tender was initially issued in December 2023, with GEK TERNA, Intrakat – AKTOR Concessions, AVAX, and Mytilineos expressing their interest during the first phase. The tender was re-announced in July 2024 (excluding the conference center) at the Kozani university campus.
The exact budget for the availability payments to be made to the Infrastructure Financing Services (IFS) will be determined based on the outcomes of the Dialogue during Stage B.I of the second phase of the tender and will be incorporated into the Invitation to Submit Binding Offers.
