The power limit for the installation of RES stations was increased from from 1 MW to 3 MW for both the interconnected network and in Crete. The change in power limit refers to offset either energy applications or net metering.

Having the power limit increased, enables industry and other energy-intensive activities to meet their green energy needs, reducing their costs and reducing their environmental footprint.

The Ministrial decision has in view the increases as follows:

Energy limit increase for net metering in Greek territory and in Crete

- Energy limits increased in Greek territory from 1MW to 3MW

- Energy limits increased in Crete as well from 1MW to 3MW, since Crete has been linked to the territorial interconnection network.

- Power limits in Rhodes electronic system were increased from 500kW to 1MW, refering to stations developed in energy communities.

- Power limits will be increased from 300kW to 500kW for stations that will be developed by public or private entities that are non profit or serve public interest.
