€2.3M infrastructure improvement projects in the Municipality of Thessaloniki

The projects concern Lagada, Monastiriou and Michail Kalou streets in the 2nd Municipal Community of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.

The Municipality of Thessaloniki has been deploying a € 2.3 million infrastructure improvement projects in order to change the appearance on the west side of the city.

The relevant tender has already been announced by the municipality for the assignment of the project, which concerns the renovation of sidewalks and common areas as well as the upgrade of electric lighting, as well as urban equipment.

In particular, and according to the planned intervention, both the sidewalks and the road on Aphrodite, Bacchus, Odysseos, Prometheus, Tantalou, Farmaki, Stefanaki, Koloniari, Anagnostopoulou and Deka streets will be refurbished.

These projects aim at the operational, aesthetic but also the environmental improvement of the wider area. Among other things, accessibility will be improved with interventions that ensure comfortable and safe movement for all pedestrians, the disabled and people with disabilities, the green will increase, while the upgrade of the electric lighting will enhance the feeling of security of the residents.
