Kopelouzos Group took an important step in maturing works of the Electricity Interconnector of Greece with Egypt (GREGY - Green Energy Interconnector) by submitting a full application for inclusion in the ten-year Development Plan of the European Energy Networks (TYNDP 2022).

Having the project been comprised in TYNDP 2022 will be the first necessary step that will launch the process of inclusion of this ambitious project in the 6th list of Projects of Common Interest (PCI) of the EU in the context of the interconnection of the Trans-European Energy Networks.

The Kopelouzos Group's Greece-Egypt electricity interconnection project is expected to transfer 100% clean, green energy produced from renewable energy sources that will be established in Egypt and will offer significant benefits not only to Greece but also to Europe as a whole, contributing to its energy security. It is also estimated that will help to achieve recovery from fossil fuels faster and achieve zero carbon targets.
