The project refers to the
improvement of the facilities of the Larissa Air Base and the redevelopment of
the base’s premises will consist of the construction of two large maintenance
hangars (LAMs), one Aircraft maintenance building, one facility building, the
extension of the runways, the construction of an aircraft parking lot and the
construction of vehicle parking spaces.
According to the redevelopment
project the carriageway sections of the base will be also upgraded, there will be
constructed an auxiliary aircraft parking lot and there will be an equipment
installation.
The project is estimated to last
12 months and is expected to be delivered in November 2022.
The project was commissioned by
the US Department of Defense (NAVFAC) to the US company Environmental Chemical
Corp. (ECC)
