The project has a total budget of € 15 million and is part
of the wider development program of the University and is funded through the
Operational Program "Ionian Islands".
The new building, which is expected to be state of art
development, will support all the special educational, research and creative
needs of the Department of Music Studies. Corfu.
According to information, the building will be erected in
the place "Pallada", on a plot owned by the Ionian University, near
the site where the construction of the 2nd student dormitory of the Foundation
in the city of Corfu will take place.
It will include classrooms, composition and recording
studios, church instrument installation, but also a standard event room of high
acoustic and electromechanical standards.
At the same time, the architecture of the building, as it
has been reflected in the relevant study and approved by the competent
authorities, is in line with the special character of the construction area,
near the new Fortress of Corfu.
