The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), announces that four Interested Parties have submitted Offers for the exploitation of part of the former U.S. military base of Gournes inHeraklion, Crete.
In particular, Offers were submitted by the following Interested Parties (in alphabetical order):
1. COMER GRUP, CLUB HOTEL CASINO LOUTRAKI S.A.– LYKTOS HOLDING S.A.
2. DIMAND S.A.
3. REDS S.A.
4. VIVION INVESTMENTS S.à r.l.
The review of the documentation submitted in order to verify that they are in line with the terms specified in the Request for Proposal will begin immediately. Shortly after, the Board of Directors of HRADF will unseal the Financial Offers in accordance with the applicable procedure. HRADF may further ask for improved Financial Offers as per the rules of the Tender Process. According to sources familiar with the matter, more than ten investment schemes are expected to claim the property that spans on a 600m long coastal front and has unrestricted views of the Cretan Sea.

According to the HRADF, in the adjacent areas of the property have been developed in the last 20 years, the facilities of the Hellenic Center for Marine Research, the Aquarium "Thalassocosmos" (Cretaquarium Thalassocosmos) and the International Exhibition and Conference Center of the Municipality of Crete.
The property is located in the immediate vicinity of the beaches of Hersonissos and the city of Heraklion and therefore in its wider area there are developed activities (commercial, tourism, leisure and holiday home), while it has contact (front 320m) with the old National Road Heraklion-Agios Nikolaos and has direct and easy access to the North Road of Crete.
