The Financial Prosecutor's Office is investigating publications and complaints about possible criminal acts related to the share capital increase of PPC, which was announced a few days ago.

An order to financial prosecutors have been released from the chairman of the so-called "Super-Prosecutor's Office" Christos Bardakis.

According to the order, authorities have been asked to evaluate the odds of reportedly accusations with regards to the announced PPC's €750 million fundraising.

Prosecutors were summoned to determine if there is any chance that the act arises manipulation of listed shares and misuse of internal information.

The material of the case file formed by the Financial Prosecutor's Office will also include the report of an unjust act filed on Monday in the Supreme Court by six lawyers, who, in addition to the two aforementioned offenses, request an investigation into the possibility of committing the offense of infidelity.

The lawyers, citing reports about the decline of PPC's share a few days before the announcement of the share capital increase, state that "it is concluded that there are nuanced indications for the commission of crimes".

The controversial reports, which will be investigated by the financial prosecutors after the order of the financial prosecutor, state, among other things, that the price of the company's share "fell for no apparent reason" from September 13 until the day of the announcement of the share capital increase. which took place after the closing of the ASE meeting.

According to the complaints, suspicions are being raised about deliberate actions, based on insider trading.
