Greek authorities have declared compulsory expropriations for nine public work projects

Nine projects will be included in the process of article 7A of the Code of Compulsory Expropriation of Real Estate was proposed at today's meeting of the Council of Ministers by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Costas Karamanlis ".

Compulsory expropriations will be made in the projects:

Two expropriations concerning the road axis "Lamia-Itea-Antirrio, in the section Bralos-Amfissa".

It concerns the construction of the section from Bralos to the beginning of the Gravia bypass and from the level junction of Bauxite Mines to Amfissa. This is a diagonal road axis "Lamia-Itea-Antirrio" and is a particularly important part of the E65. It connects PATHE with Ionia Odos.

Four expropriations concerning BOAK, and specifically in the Neapoli-Agios Nikolaos section.

In the first section "Hersonissos-Neapoli", 22.5 km long

Two expropriations concern the North Aegean Region.

One will be done in Lesvos, for the improvement of the provincial road Ampelikou-Stavrou, which is one of the main roads of the island, which connects the tourist areas of Lesvos, Plomari and Agiasos with Vatera and Polichnitos. The second will take place in Ikaria, for the ring road of the settlement of Evdilos. The construction of the new modern port and the fishing shelter make the settlement the most developed on the island.

Finally, an expropriation will be made for the northern part of the E65 and specifically Kalampaka-Egnatia.
