this new reform that will be implemented by the ministry as a
contracting authority, in the fourth quarter of 2022, water management
will be strengthened as this new authority is expected to receive
specific directions in terms of responsibilities and competencies.
To achieve this goal will be preceded by the necessary studies and
public consultation with all stakeholders.
The new Authority will base its operation on Directive 2000/60 / EC which has already been transposed into Greek law and will focus on the supervision of water management bodies, the compliance of water supply bodies with the principles of sustainable water management as well as its improvement. financial and technical management of these bodies.
