According to information, the group of the former president of SETE Andreas Andreadis, acquired a large area a few kilometers west of the city, that belonged to a construction company for years and is expected to create a unique resort, further upgrading the destination, where significant investment projects are evolving in rexent years, from both domestic and international schemes.
Indicatively, there are the two units of the Domes Resorts company, the
Apple Leisure Group hotel in Maleme that the Hotel Investment Partners
(HIP) bought from the Louis Group, the investments in a series of new
"arrivals" last years, namely Euphoria, la Mer, Anemos , many small
boutique hotels in the city of Chania, as well as the planned unit in
Marathi of the Vasilakis construction group from Heraklion (not related
to Aegean).
It is recalled that the Sani / Ikos group, based on what it has
announced, aims to exceed 9,000 employees in the next five years, mainly
through the development of new hotel units in Greece and Iberia. The
investments, during the same period, will exceed 800 million euros.
In any case, the arrival of the IKOS / Sunny team with its unique
know-how on the high quality hotels level, further strengthens the
quality seal for the most up-and-coming destination of Crete and beyond.
In fact, with its placement outside Chania, it expands the radius of
tourist development of the area, while of course it "steps" in the new
era of the "Ioannis Daskalogiannis" airport, which has now passed to
Fraport.
It should be noted that the IKOS Sunny group operates 9 privately owned
resorts in Halkidiki, Corfu and Kos, which are among the top luxury
resorts in the world.
At the same time, the Group implements an ambitious development program
for the development of the IKOS brand in the Iberian Peninsula, with the
new IKOS ANDALUSIA, the tenth privately owned hotel complex and the
first endeavor of the Group outside Greece, which will operate in April
2021 in Marbel Estepona, Spain.
It is recalled that the Group develops brands in Greece through LBRI,
which was founded in 2016, based in Luxembourg. The management of LBRI
is exercised as co-managing partners by Messrs. Stavros Andreadis,
Andreas A. Andreadis and Mathieu Guillemin, while its main shareholders
are Stavros and Andreas Andreadis, Mathieu Guillemin, Oaktree Capital
Management LP, Goldman Sachs Head Asset Management, Hermes GPE and a
series of investment funds. The goal of the SANI / IKOS GROUP through
LBRI, is the expansion of Ikos Resorts in high profile locations in
Greece, while supporting the local community and respecting the group's
commitments for hotel units, characterized by their respect for the
environment, the consumption of local products and the creation of large
numbers of jobs.
