Housing prices, despite the uncertainty caused by the pandemic, continue to rise slightly.
The house price index in the second quarter increased by 0.9% compared to a corresponding increase of 0.4% in the first quarter of the year.

Regarding the type of houses, the increase in the prices of apartments was slightly higher, compared to those of houses. The provinces that recorded the largest quarterly increase were Nicosia and Limassol, followed by Paphos and Larnaca, with Famagusta, recording a marginal decrease.

This upward trend in real estate prices is expected to continue in the third quarter of the year, as shown by the indicators of the Economic Conjuncture Survey.
