"The Ellinikon has been initiated and by 2025 a large part of this project is estimated to be completed, so that all citizens will be able to experience and feel proud of this investment," Lamda Development's CEO Odysseas Athanassiou said during the third online presentation of the company to inform the public about the emblematic work.

As Mr. Athanassiou said "an area that today can be accessed difficulty and is cut off from the urban environment will be redeveloped in the coming years, exclusively with private funding, into a modern green city that we’ll all can visit and enjoy.

The Ellinikon shall be the first region in Greece that will be developed from scratch as a smart city, with advanced infrastructure and innovative technologies, while it was designed to be environmentally sustainable and resistant to climate change ".

In the context of a modern city project that will be friendly to the environment and the citizens, Lamda Development plans and will fully finance a series of infrastructure projects with public benefit, which will serve the residents of Ellinikon and the neighboring areas.

Environment protection and green spaces are a priority in the overall design of the project. More than 70% of the 6.2 million sqm area, will be covered with green parks, lakes, gardens, common and outdoor activity areas, while in residential areas the common and public spaces will exceed 50%.

The design of Lamda Development for the regeneration of the coastal zone of Ellinikon aims to highlight the unique natural beauty, but also the important prospects for the Athenian Riviera to become a top tourist destination worldwide, for the whole year. The projects for the regeneration of Elliniko have started and are proceeding with the highest standards internationally, at all stages of their development.
