The new MyDATA platform for digital invoices

More than 235.000 companies are in the digital platform.

The issuance of electronic invoices through the digital platform MyDATA will be mandatory for many companies and freelancers in Greece a development that will be effective as of October 1st.

 

Todate, more than 235.000 companies have been filled in the MyDATA digital platform.

The platform was initially launched  a year ago and has been operating on beta form. Effective from October 1st,  transmittion of receipts through MyData, for companies (natural and legal persons) with diplographic books and a turnover of more than €50.000 as well as for companies (natural and legal persons) with haplographic books with a turnover of over €100.000, will be mandatory.

One month later, from November 1st, this procedure will be extended to other companies as well. However, the Ministry of Finance and AADE there will be no sanctions attributed to no users within 2021.

Income documents issued or to be issued by companies by the date of commencement of mandatory transmission, must be transmitted to the myDATA platform no later than 31/03/2022.

The goal of AADE and the Ministry of Finance is to have this digital process been adopted as a daily operational routine for all companies by the end  of the beta form.

Ahead of the "invoice application" been launched, c. 1.5 million users received e-mails as a reminder to start submitting documents in myDATA platform.

Is is also noted that since April 2018, when AADE started the project of introducing digital books and digital invoicing, a number of articles have been published in the print and digital press on the operation of myDATA.
