A series of 15 interactive seminars was organized by the GS for Private Investment and Public-Private Partnerships of the Ministry of Development and Investment.

The seminars were held in the framework of the project "Support For the Contracting of Public Private Partnerships in Greece", funded by the European Union through the Structural Reform Support Program and implemented in cooperation with the European Commission, under the auspices of PwC.

According to an announcement by the Ministry of Development and Investment, the Union of Greek Regions (ENPE) and the Central Union of Greek Municipalities (KEDE) contributed significantly to the excellent planning of the seminars in the 13 regions as well as in more than 30 largest municipalities, both experienced in PPPs of school infrastructures as well as many who show interest in relevant projects.

The purpose of the seminars was to disseminate the know-how developed in the ongoing project and to inform the participants about the process that a contracting authority must follow in order to prepare, mature and implement a school infrastructure PPP project (specification of the project, conducting a tender for the selection of the private body, etc.).

The General Secretariat for Private Investments and PPPs, as mentioned in the announcement, will continue to work with public bodies interested in the implementation of PPP projects and to support this effort in every way.
