Interested parties for each of the programs will be able to submit their applications gradually, as the related calls and program guides were signed by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Thodoris Skylakakis, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, and the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Alexandra Sdoukou.
These programs are implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan "Greece 2.0" with financing from the European Union - NextGeneration EU.
Below are the details for each of the five programs:
Energy Efficiency Improvement Program for Mountain Tourist Accommodations This program, with a budget of €10 million, opens today (8/1) for application submissions. 10% of the budget is exclusively for traditional listed buildings (€1 million), and the remaining 90% (€9 million) is for other mountain tourist accommodation buildings.
The main goal of the program is to achieve cumulative energy and environmental results through the submitted investment plans. Specifically, each plan should achieve:
At least a 30% primary energy savings compared to the pre-investment situation.
A reduction in CO₂ emissions by at least 30%.
Eligible costs are divided into two categories:
Costs for implementing energy efficiency upgrades.
Other supporting costs, such as services from Energy Inspectors, Energy Management System certification, and consultancy services for application management.
The funding intensity depends on the size of the enterprise, with percentages of 30% for large enterprises, 40% for medium-sized, and 50% for small enterprises.
Applications can be submitted electronically from 8/1/2025 to 28/02/2025 via the platform: https://oreinaxenodochia.gov.gr/
Energy Storage Systems in Businesses With a total budget of €153.7 million, this program offers funding for businesses of any size and sector to install energy storage systems in photovoltaic systems (funding applies exclusively for the storage system).
The funding intensity is as follows: 30% for large businesses, 40% for medium-sized, and 50% for small businesses.
Eligible expenses include equipment costs (e.g., purchase and installation of energy storage systems, Energy Management System) and service costs (e.g., study fees, project management consultants, interconnection costs with distribution networks).
Applications will be accepted electronically from 13/1/2025 to 28/02/2025 via the official website: https://exoikonomo-epixeiro-fotovoltaika.gov.gr
Promotion of Energy Efficiency in Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprises This program, with a budget of €40 million, aims to reduce the primary energy consumption of water pumping stations by at least 20% and CO₂ emissions by 20% annually, through energy upgrades and improvements to operational efficiency in municipal water supply and sewerage enterprises (DEYAs).
The funding covers 60% of eligible expenses, excluding VAT.
The program is divided among three categories:
DEYAs in drought-prone areas: €7 million
DEYAs in Thessaly: €10 million
DEYAs in other areas: €23 million
Eligible actions include:
Direct energy efficiency interventions (e.g., replacement of motors, installation of inverters, and remote monitoring).
Strategic long-term energy savings studies.
Applications can be submitted electronically from 14/1/2025 to 31/03/2025 via the platform: https://deya-repower.gov.gr/
Funding Program for the Energy Upgrade of Municipal Daycare Centers "Phoebus" The aim of this €12.4 million program is to improve the energy efficiency of municipal daycare, infant, and preschool buildings.
The goal is to utilize the potential for energy savings and enhance energy efficiency in the building sector, contributing to decarbonization and the country's economy.
Eligible buildings must achieve at least 30% primary energy savings and CO₂ emission reduction. Each application can have a maximum eligible budget of €75,000.
Eligible interventions include:
Thermal insulation and waterproofing of roofs.
Replacement of windows and doors.
Installation of heat pumps.
Applications can be submitted electronically from 20/1/2025 to 28/2/2025 via the platform: https://exoikonomo-scholeia.gov.gr
Funding Program for the Energy Upgrade of Kindergartens and Primary Schools "Athena" The goal of this €37.2 million program is to improve the energy efficiency of buildings owned or used by municipalities (local authorities) for kindergartens and primary schools.
Interventions include reducing energy demand related to the use of buildings, with a focus on technical systems (e.g., heating, cooling) and areas susceptible to thermal losses (e.g., windows, roofs).
Eligible applicants are local authorities for interventions in kindergartens and primary schools in buildings built before 2000 and not yet upgraded.
Eligible interventions include:
Thermal insulation and waterproofing of roofs.
Replacement of windows and doors.
Installation of heat pumps.
