35 new buses will be used to facilitate routes throughout Attica regions, bringing the total number of vehicles to 110.

According to the competent Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, these new buses will operate on 11 lines that serve the Municipalities of Acharna, Metamorfosi, Nea Ionia, Kifissia, Dionysos, Marathon and Oropos.

According to the relevant announcement, this is the first time since 2009 that the urban transport fleet is being renewed, while the concession of the transport project, based on the new contract with the consortium that was highlighted by the international organization OASA, has a duration of eight years. All the vehicles that will be launched on the lines are new.

As Mr. Staikouras stated on the show "Connections" (X. Vidou, K. Papachlimintzos): "Each month the number of new buses running on the streets of Attica is increasing.

Today, 35 new modern buses with anti-pollution technology are integrated. These will be added to the 75 that are already circulating on the streets of Attica, as well as to the 140 electric buses.

Thus, until today the fleet of city buses on the streets of Attica has changed. It has been improved by 250 new buses, for the first time since 2009, for the first time in the last 15 years, offering better quality services to citizens but also absolute accessibility to society as a whole. The target of 950 new buses by the end of the summer of 2025 is entirely achievable and will be met with method and determination."
