A bicycle track will be developed in the Municipality of Alimos

As the Mayor Andreas Kondylis states in a related announcement, a new cycle path of almost 5 km will be created.

"This is a new major project of the Municipality of Alimos, which makes our city even better, more bike-friendly, safer in traffic," the Mayor emphasizes.

The cost of the project reaches €3,000,000 and the amount will be covered by the Recovery Fund, where the Municipality submitted a complete file, claiming and securing this money.

"The cycle path will start from the metro area on Vouliagmenis Ave., it will make a circle in the area of Ano Kalamaki near Venizelou, from Venizelou Ieroos Matsis will come out, it will follow the route of Ionia, Stymphalia that is behind the area of JUMBO , it will exit at Alimou and from Alimou it will go all the way down to the beach, where it will meet and connect with the large coastal pedestrian and cycle path that the state is already planning together with the six municipalities of the region, which will start from the Stadium of Peace and Friendship and will reach the Town Hall of Voula. At that point, the green cultural route will end, which will run through Alimos, then Faliro, and will end in Kallithea," the announcement states.
