A new RES project is being launched in the Rhodope

The wind power plant will consist of eight NORDEX model N149 wind turbines, with a nominal power of 4.8MW each.

A new wind farm is being launched at the "Fortress" location of the Municipality of Arrians, Rhodope perfecture.

The operator of the project is the company "PORTSIDE WIND ENERGY LTD - RODOPI 5 E.E.".

The wind power plant will consist of eight NORDEX model N149 wind turbines, with a nominal power of 4.8MW each, with a three (3) blade impeller, an impeller diameter of 149m and a maximum height of 179.5m. The total installed capacity is 38.4MW and the maximum generating capacity is 36MW.

For the construction and operation of the wind farm, the necessary accompanying infrastructure projects will be implemented, which include the following:

Road works including external (access) road works and internal road works. All of the projects concern the improvement of existing roads as well as the opening of new ones. The total length of road construction works amounts to 8,028.21m. of which 4,097.36m. concern the improvement of an existing road north of the project and the 3,930.85m. concern the opening of new roads.

Works for the formation of suitable platforms (squares) for assembling and erecting the wind turbines. The squares are flat surfaces of about 5 acres, on which the parts of the AG (tower, generator, subsystems, etc.) are assembled and their lifting and placement operations are carried out. The total occupied area of the eight squares is estimated at 64,120 sq.m. Also included are works for the excavation of the foundation of the A/C, while the formation of temporary construction sites, which will take place within the construction squares, is also planned.

The electrical interconnection works include the internal interconnection of the a/cs with each other, via underground medium voltage (MVT) line routing, with the control house. Abroad

MT network of ASPIE for the interconnection with the electricity transmission system, will start from the control hut, will be underground and will follow the route of existing roads, estimated length of 24.85 km. ASPIE will be connected to the existing Y.S. MT/YT "Flambouro" in T.K. Beam of D.E. Phillyras of D. Arrians.

The entire project with a mapping of the vertices of the polygon, the positions of the A/C and the control hut and the road construction works, and electrical interconnection of the new H/S.
