The investment reflects the company’s continued confidence in Finland’s healthcare real estate market, where shifting demographics are driving a surge in demand for high-quality long-term care infrastructure.
The two projects will be located in strategically selected regional centres: Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland with a population of approximately 65,000, and Joensuu, the administrative centre of North Karelia, home to around 78,000 residents.
The Rovaniemi care facility will span approximately 2,150 square metres and accommodate 43 residents, while the Joensuu development will offer 33 residential units across 1,650 square metres. Both facilities are designed to meet modern standards of elderly care and are expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026, with construction set to begin imminently.
This latest investment underlines Aedifica’s strategic focus on the Nordic region, as the company continues to expand its portfolio of socially relevant and future-proof healthcare properties across Europe.
