China promotes net-zero emissions parks as part of Its green transformation agenda.

According to an official document jointly released by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and two other ministries, local communities are encouraged to establish near-zero carbon industrial parks. These parks aim to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to near-zero levels through advanced planning, design, technology, and energy management systems.

The document outlines a series of key targets, including:

  • Transitioning energy structures toward cleaner alternatives,

  • Enhancing energy efficiency in operations,

  • Upgrading industrial infrastructure,

  • Promoting natural resource conservation,

  • Modernizing energy and carbon management practices,

  • Implementing advanced low-carbon technologies, and

  • Advancing reforms and innovation in the management and operation of industrial parks.

These efforts are part of China's broader strategy to support sustainable industrial transformation, aligning with national climate goals and green development priorities.
