Cadastral registration process completed for the Land Registry in Volos

Seven new areas of the Kallikratiko Municipality of Volos have been integrated into the operation of the Land Registry as of Monday, December 2, 2024, following the successful completion of the cadastral registration process. This development is officially recorded in the Government Gazette (6575/Β/2.12.2024).

The following Municipal Units in the Regional Unit of Magnesia are now under the operation of the Land Registry: Agria, Aisonia (Municipal Community of Dimini), Artemida, Iolkos, Makrinitsa, Nea Ionia (Municipal Community of Nea Ionia), and Portaria. As a result, 65,507 properties and 87,288 rights are now included in the Land Registry system.

Key Information for Citizens and Professionals:

  • Digital Submission for Notarial Deeds: Applications for the registration of notarial deeds (with exceptions for deeds related to distribution, exchange, modifications of horizontal and vertical properties containing multiple KAEK, and establishment of condominiums by sale) must be submitted exclusively online.

  • Digital Submission for Legal Documents: Applications and documents prepared or circulated by lawyers regarding the elimination of collateral or the registration of pre-notations must also be submitted digitally.

  • Digital Submission for Bailiff Documents: Applications related to documents prepared or circulated by bailiffs, which involve a legal preliminary service procedure, must be submitted digitally.

  • Extrajudicial Corrections: Applications for extrajudicial corrections, such as those addressing manifest errors or those under Article 6, Paragraph 4 of Law 2664/1998, are to be submitted digitally by lawyers, notaries, bailiffs, or other legal entities.

  • Digital Access to the Cadastral Database: Professionals can access the cadastral database online for searches.

  • Digital Submission for Certificates and Copies: Applications for the issuance of certificates (e.g., cadastral sheet copies) must be submitted and received digitally, available 24/7.

  • Exclusively Electronic Protocol: The protocol for applications and submissions is now fully electronic.

  • Abolition of Stamps: Stamps on certificates and applications have been eliminated.

  • Electronic Payments: Payments for services must be made electronically or via POS systems.

  • Electronic Refunds: Refunds for undue payments will be processed electronically.

  • Extended Operating Hours: The operating hours for on-site research of books and records held by the Branch are uniform across the country, from 08:30 to 13:30.

The overarching objective of the Hellenic Land Registry is to modernize its services and support the innovative digital transformation of its operations, ultimately enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens and professionals engaged in property transactions.
