According to the Mayor of Glyfada, George Papanikolaou, at the end of 2026, the pedestrian and bicycle path on the beach will be completed, which will be connected via the esplanade (bridge-walk) to a seven-acre square in front of the Town Hall.
Under the square, three levels of parking will be built in total, 7,000 square meters each where a total of around 700 vehicles will be able to park.
The money has been secured largely from the Recovery Fund Work is expected to begin in the autumn with excavations expected to be completed in around two years.
