The contract covers approximately 13km of 18” diameter High Frequency Welded (HFW) line pipe, certified to transport up to 100% hydrogen, which will include FBE coating, internal epoxy lining, and the supply of induction bends.
The HFW pipes will be manufactured in Corinth’s facility in Greece and delivered directly to Australia within 2022.
The construction of the gas pipeline will connect the future Port Kembla Energy Terminal to the existing 797km Eastern Gas Pipeline.
At the same time, Jemena is exploring the role of hydrogen in domestic,
transport, and commercial settings. As such, Jemena has selected to utilize Corinth’s solution of high‐grade
steel pipes for the future transmission of up to 100% hydrogen.
