Costa Navarino receives special town planning approval for 8.500 hectares of land

The Ministry of Environment has published the pre-approval of the Special Town Planning plan for Integrated Tourism Development Area (IPDA) in the location "Kynigos", of the Municipality of Pylos of Messinia prefecture.

The founding and operating entity of "Kynigos" Integrated Tourism Development Area is the company "Panorama S.A. in which TEMES and Consiltech are key shareholders.

The area spans ​​8,308,605.65 sq.m. and consists of 670 self-contained and independent land plots.  According to the decision, despite the roads and other natural obstacles that are interposed the area is considered not divided according to the provisions of par. 1b, article 29 of Law 2545/1997. The possibility of their functional integration should be ensured in the context of the approval of demarcation and characterization of the Integrated Tourism Development Area.

The permitted uses of land that have been approved are tourism and leisure while the average built-surface ratio is set at 0.03 with a maximum permitted building at 240,000 sq m.

The characterization and delimitation of the area will be carried out by presidential decree following the proposal of the Ministers of Environment & Energy and Tourism, following the opinion of the relevant regional council.

The Company has begun the construction of golf courses, The Hills Courses, and a clubhouse. The Hills Courses were designed by the famous professional golfer José María Olazábal, with 23 European Tour victories, six PGA victories and an excellent Ryder Cup record. They are located on a plateau overlooking Navarino Bay and the surrounding hills, and will be open from February to November.
