The joint venture of GEK TERNA and Hard Rock will hold a special event in a few days in which they will present the plans and the start of the construction work of the Integrated Tourist Complex (IRC). The development work at IRC – Casino is estimated to last approximately 3 years, until the end of 2026, at least based on planning for an investment that will exceed €1 billion.
The GEK TERNA group maintains 49% in the company IRC Elliniko which has undertaken the construction, development and operation of the project which will include a five-star hotel, with a capacity of 3,447 beds and a net area of 119,980 sq.m. to serve the required needs. conference and exhibition center with an area of 23,722 sq.m., public gathering space for sports and cultural events with a total number of 10,525 seats, state-of-the-art entertainment area, restaurants, the Rock Spa, retail stores and a world-class casino area (15,000 sq.m. with 200 tables and 2,000 gaming machines).
The license to develop and operate a casino business of a wide range of activities is for 30 years from 8/6/2024. It is recalled that the construction cost of the investment was initially estimated at 600 million euros, however, it is estimated that this has increased in size either due to a new design or due to an increase in needs (inflation, material costs, etc.). The construction is undertaken by TERNA.
