Citizens can install the Gov.gr Wallet application directly on their mobile via the App Store or Google Play, as well as via wallet.gov.gr. The Insurance Capacity is the eighth document included in the Gov.gr Wallet.
More specifically, the citizen:
He first selects "Insurance Capacity" from the list of available Gov.gr Wallet documents.
He then registers his AMKA. If he wishes to add the insurance capacity of an indirect member, he also registers the AMKA of the member.
He is then sent a one-time password (OTP – One Time Password) to the mobile phone number, which he has registered in the National Register of Communications (EMEP), at emep.gov.gr, to complete the process.
In this way, e-EFKA insured persons will have at their disposal, through the Gov.gr Wallet, information on the insurance capacity of themselves and the indirect members insured by them, as well as the expiry date, at any time. so that they take the necessary actions for its renewal in time. For each insurance capacity that the user has added to the application, he receives a relevant notification 8 days before its expiry. In addition, the citizen has access to details of his insurance coverage, such as who the Insurance Agency is and whether he is a direct or indirect member.
The design and development of the service was done by the Electronic National Social Security Agency e-EFKA, the General Secretariat of Information Systems and Digital Governance and the National Network of Technology and Research Infrastructures (EDYTE SA – GRNET) of the Ministry of Digital Governance. The information on the Insurance Capacity is obtained through the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat of Information Systems and Digital Government.
It is recalled that the following documents are already available at wallet.gov.gr: the Police Identity Card, the Driving License, the Digital Disability Card, the Digital Unemployment Card (DYPA), the Ring Badge for free access to the ring of Athens, the information vehicle (MyAuto) and the Academic ID.
